Borough President Adams’ Renewable and Sustainable Energy Taskforce (ReSET), is made up of energy providers, community based organizations, and green energy advocacy groups who share a common goal of improving our energy utilization and creating a greener energy infrastructure. Together we are working towards better energy efficiency literacy and promoting economic development through the renewable energy sector. This page provides links to resources that can help Brooklynites have a greener energy footprint.
Borough President Adams started this taskforce at the beginning of his administration. Since its founding, we have worked to promote public education around incentive programs and how to live a more sustainable lifestyle. The City has very ambitious energy goals and we need public and private partners to all be working toward the same future. Over the past few years, we have released reports on the importance of sustainability coordinators in schools, creating infrastructure for alternative fueling stations to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, and have promoted Passive House design as a pathway to meeting building codes.
As ReSET continues to grow, we will continue to engage with other elected officials to promote legislation that will help us achieve the future we need.
