MEETING WILL ADDRESS HIGH-RISE DEVELOPMENT IN PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS
BROOKLYN, NY, April 3, 2014: Today, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams announced that he will be taking part in the first of many future town halls he is planning to conduct outside of Brooklyn Borough Hall. The meeting, addressing high-rise development near Prospect Park, will take place in Monday, April 7th at the John Hus Moravian Church at 153 Ocean Avenue beginning at 7:00 PM. This approach to soliciting local input is part with his administration’s plans to advance community engagement and transparency.
“Borough Hall is out in every community to engage Brooklynites in their daily trials and tribulations,” said Borough President Adams. “Town halls like these will give concerned constituents an opportunity to voice their ideas on a variety of issues. This Monday, I look forward to hearing the thoughts from Prospect-Lefferts Gardens and surrounding communities about the prospects of future development, changes to zoning and quality of life issues.”
Borough President Adams stressed that any individuals who are unable to attend Monday’s meeting will be able to register their opinion and/or suggestions by e-mailing him at [email protected]. He also welcomed Brooklynites to propose future external town hall issues to that same e-mail address.
Prospect East Network is co-hosting the town hall, along with the support of the Flatbush Tenant Coalition, the Lefferts Manor Association and the Prospect Lefferts Gardens Neighborhood Association.
