“Out of an abundance of caution, and to contain the spread of the coronavirus, starting on Monday, March 16th, our Constituent Assistance Center (CAC) and Topographical Unit (TOPO) will not be taking walk-in visits.
“Anyone who requires assistance from CAC can still email us at [email protected], or call (718) 802-3700. TOPO can be reached by contacting Office Manager Kellie O’Brien at (718) 802-3989 or [email protected] or Public Information Assistant Jessica Kallo at (718) 802-3813 or [email protected]. Brooklyn Borough Hall will be issuing guidance shortly on how to submit and receive TOPO applications.
“Starting today, our free legal services clinic and our SCORE NYC clinic are postponed until further notice. Free tax prep services offered at Brooklyn Borough Hall, however, by Grow Brooklyn will continue.
“Starting Monday, March 16th, all events and meetings at Brooklyn Borough Hall or outside the building, including cultural heritage events and standing task forces, are postponed until further notice. These include, but are not limited to:
· Greek-American Heritage Celebration
· Know Your Rights Forum
· Ida B. Wells Celebration and Voter Registration Drive
· Women’s History Month Celebration
· High Schools Coaches’ Celebration
· Brooklyn Mitchell-Lama Task Force
· Renewable and Sustainable Energy Taskforce (ReSET)
· Brooklyn Solid Waste Advisory Board (SWAB)
“As of now, dinners in the Breaking Bread, Building Bonds initiative are postponed until further notice. In addition, pending ULURP public hearings are cancelled until further notice. The public is encouraged to submit testimony for any ULURP to [email protected]. We will continue to update the public as we receive new information, based on our own evaluation of the situation and the advice of public health officials,” said Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.
