July 4, 2015
“From hot dog eating contests in Coney Island to gazing at fireworks over the East River, there is no more exciting place to celebrate the Fourth of July than our beloved borough. At family barbecues and friendly gatherings across Brooklyn today, we celebrate not only our love for one another, but our gratitude for the freedoms and liberties granted through the sacrifices of our foremothers and forefathers. On this anniversary of the birth of our nation, we renew our commitment to form a more perfect union for every single American. I wish everyone in Brooklyn and beyond a happy and safe Independence Day.”
