“I am a proud graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and a proud recipient of an education from world-class professors who encouraged and supported me on my path to protecting children and families as a member of the NYPD. With due respect to free speech, any rhetoric that promotes violence against police officers is antithetical to the mission of CUNY and the safety of good-hearted New Yorkers. I could not fathom the abhorrent views expressed by Professor Isaacson continuing to be in the best interests of this institution of higher learning. The professors I had at John Jay hoped for my safety; they did not hope for me to be a ‘future dead cop.’”
