BP MARKOWITZ LAUNCHES EIGHTH ANNUAL “DINE IN BROOKLYN”: QUALITY FOOD, NO ATTITUDE ON THE SIDE!
More than 200 restaurants to serve up Brooklyn’s tastiest fare through March 31

On Monday, March 21, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz kicked off the eighth annual Dine in Brooklyn restaurant week (March 21 – March 31) featuring more than 200 of Brooklyn’s best eateries serving up three-course dinner menus for just $25, three-course lunches for $20.11 and even some “two for the price of one” deals at participating restaurants. For complete list, visit www.visitbrooklyn.org.

“Foodies, start your engines,” said BP Markowitz. “New Yorkers and tourists alike have discovered that the Culinary Epicenter of America is right here in Brooklyn. Whether you fancy the French fare in Brooklyn’s Bastille Day hot spot, Carroll Gardens, or you want to savor a little sushi, ‘bib up’ for barbeque, ‘mangia’ some mostacholi, sample ethnic food from everywhere on the planet, find the newest, freshest seasonal, locally-sourced artisanal menus, or you are simply looking for comfort food American-style—in Brooklyn your table is waiting!”

Select establishments are cooking up “two-fer” brunch and lunch menus this year—just $20.11 covers brunch and lunch for two—as well as two-for-$25 dinner menus. Offerings vary by restaurant, so patrons must call establishments in advance to verify their Dine in Brooklyn menus and reservation policies. BP Markowitz also reminds everyone to be generous and properly tip their wait staff.

Dine in Brooklyn is an initiative of the Brooklyn Borough President’s Office and Best of Brooklyn, Inc. Generous sponsors include American Express, TD Bank, Time Out New York, Brooklyn Brewery, Brooklyn Restaurant Association, New York State Restaurant Association, Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and Great Kosher Restaurants magazine.
