BP MARKOWITZ TO RAISE LATIN AMERICAN FLAG, PRESENT TOYS AND PROCLAMATION TO THREE KINGS DAY PARADE COMMITTEE

2:00 P.M.
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 5
BROOKLYN BOROUGH HALL
209 JORALEMON STREET
BETWEEN COURT AND ADAMS STREETS
DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN

On Wednesday, January 5, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will raise the Latin American flag at Borough Hall. The flag, which pays homage to Latin culture and diversity, is visual artist and designer Larry D’Arrigo’s artistic interpretation of a singular flag to represent the 20 Latin American nations. Following the flag ceremony, the borough president will present toys and a proclamation to the Three Kings Day Parade Committee. Three Kings Day, or the Feast of the Epiphany, is widely observed by Latinos across the globe.

The Three Kings Day Parade kicks off at 2:00 pm at Graham and Meeker Avenues in Williamsburg on Sunday, January 9.
