On Thursday, May 7, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz presented certificates to the “Nerd Herd”—middle schoolers from St. Edmund’s Elementary School in Sheepshead Bay who won the city’s Lego League Robotics Championship and represented New York City with their robot “Thingamajig” at the national championships in Atlanta.
