On Wednesday, May 27, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and the Asian American Heritage Committee hosted an evening of celebration to mark Asian Heritage Month. Brooklyn is home to one of the largest and fastest-growing Asian American communities in the country.
Several distinguished members of Brooklyn’s Asian American community were honored at the event, including Lynn Gong, auxiliary police captain, NYPD Brooklyn South; Danny Tsoi, community activist; Pauline Frank, principal, PS 127 McKinley Park; and Fred Ho, jazz musician and author.
The presentation of honors in the Courtroom was followed by a reception in the Rotunda.
