On Tuesday, March 31, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz joined the Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium for a press conference on the 10th annual Central Brooklyn Jazz Festival to run from April 1 through April 30. This year’s theme is “A Decade of Keeping Our Music Alive.” The Brooklyn Tourism and Visitors Center, an initiative of BP Markowitz, is a proud sponsor of this year’s festival.

Representatives from participating cultural and community venues spoke about their respective roles in this grassroots celebration of jazz. The press conference also featured live music from the Jeff King Band.
