BP MARKOWITZ TO CELEBRATE RUSSIAN HERITAGE FESTIVAL WITH CEREMONY, FESTIVITIES AT BOROUGH HALL

On Tuesday, June 9, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, the Daily News and the Russian-American Foundation will host a celebration of the 7th Annual Russian Heritage Festival with a ceremony honoring distinguished members of the community.

Honorees include Danial Jacobson, strong supporter of community causes and events; Germina Khoruozhaya, director of student development & advertising, NYSCAS Division of Touro College; Kingsbay YM-YWHA, Leonard Petlakh, executive director; Eugene Shkolnikov, field director, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network; and a special presentation to the family of Malka Budilovskaya and the Starrett City Jewish Association in memory of Ms. Budilovskaya.

The 7th Annual Russian Heritage Festival, a citywide celebration of the many cultural and economic contributions of the Russian-speaking community in New York, is produced by the Russian-American Foundation and presented by the Daily News, in cooperation with Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the City of New York.
