On Sunday, April 5, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz joined Congressman Jerrold Nadler, State Senator Diane Savino, Brooklyn Parks Commissioner Jules Spiegel and a cast of Coney Island characters to usher in another season of Deno’s Wonder Wheel and the Coney Island Cyclone.

The Salt and Sea Mission Church and Pastor Debbe Santiago, with generous support from the owners of Deno’s Wonder Wheel Park, helped coordinate some of the day’s events, which gave more than 300 children a day’s worth of free rides, pizza and Easter baskets.
