On Thursday, March 27, nearly a hundred travel trade representatives from the United States and abroad traveled to Brooklyn for a tour of the borough sponsored by Brooklyn Tourism and Heart of Brooklyn. The itinerary included visits to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Coney Island, Green-Wood Cemetery, the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and the New York Transit Museum.

The daylong event gave domestic and international travel experts who book tours, business trips and vacations an opportunity to experience Brooklyn’s diverse places of interest and promote the borough as a premier tourist destination. Their clients hail from around the globe—including Japan, Belgium, Germany, France, England, Canada, Australia, Finland and Romania.

BP Markowitz finished the day by meeting with participants at the Brooklyn Tourism and Visitors Center at Borough Hall. After welcoming them to Brooklyn, the Borough President asked the representatives to make sure they book their clients for frequent trips to the borough and its wide array of attractions—including Coney Island, Nathan’s, the Summer Concert Series, Williamsburg and Victorian Flatbush.
