BP MARKOWITZ, BROOKLYN TOURISM, HEART OF BROOKLYN TO WELCOME DOZENS OF INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL TRADE REPRESENTATIVES TO BOROUGH BEGINNING 8:00 A.M. On Thursday, March 27, nearly a hundred travel trade representatives from around the world will gather in Brooklyn for a tour of the borough sponsored by Brooklyn Tourism and Heart of Brooklyn. The itinerary includes visits to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Coney Island, Green-Wood Cemetery, the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and the New York Transit Museum. The tour will end at the Brooklyn Tourism and Visitors Center at Borough Hall, where the Borough President will greet the tour operators. The event is an opportunity for international travel experts who book tours and vacations to experience Brooklyn’s diverse places of interest and promote the borough as a premier tourist destination. Participants will board New York Water Taxi at the South Street Seaport at 8:00 a.m. and travel to the Fulton Ferry Landing in Brooklyn, where they’ll be greeted by Borough Historian Ron Schweiger.
