POP BALLADEER MICHAEL BOLTON TO HIT THE STAGE AS THE “SEASIDE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES” IN BROOKLYN TURNS 30!
The Seaside Summer Concert Series is celebrating an incredible 30 years of the very best in free entertainment this summer, and Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will host the party like only Brooklyn can—with a musical “who’s who” lighting up the stage at Asser Levy/Seaside Park. The 30th Annual Seaside Summer Concert Series will heat up the summer beginning tomorrow night, July 10, with Grammy Award-winner Michael Bolton headlining the first of seven consecutive Thursday night concerts featuring some of the biggest names in music.
Again this year, there will be a little something for everyone—from sentimental favorites like Brian Wilson and Smokey Robinson to the best of the ’80s for the “younger” set with Huey Lewis & The News and Starship starring Mickey Thomas. Back by popular demand is the legendary performer who needs only one name—the incomparable Liza. Of course, it wouldn’t be summer without some hot beats and Salsa by the Sea. And just who is this year’s “mystery guest”?
Concerts will be held Thursday nights at 7:30 pm at Asser Levy/Seaside Park at West 5th Street and Surf Avenue in Brighton Beach, opposite the New York Aquarium. The public can bring their own chairs or rent chairs for $5 in a special designated area. Performers are subject to change without notice. Call the concert hotline for updates at 718-222-0600, or visit www.brooklynconcerts.com for more information and travel details.
