BP MARKOWITZ STATEMENT ON DEATH OF FEDERAL JUDGE AND BROOKLYN NATIVE JOHN E. SPRIZZO

“Brooklyn extends its deepest condolences to the loved ones of John E. Sprizzo, a favorite son of Brooklyn who brought intelligence, fairness—and, yes, even a little ‘in your face’ Brooklyn attitude—to the federal bench of the Southern District of New York. We grieve with Justice Sprizzo’s family, including his wife Maria and three children, friends and colleagues, and hope they will be comforted by the prayers and thoughts of millions of Brooklynites, New Yorkers and Americans.”
