“I’m gratified that the Brooklyn Heights Montessori School board of trustees has voted to maintain the Little Room in its current location through August 2010. I urged in my letter of November 12 to the board that the school either maintain this publicly-funded program or vigorously aid in its transition to a suitable new host location. This award-winning program deserves a permanent home in Brooklyn, and Brooklyn families deserve this option for children who need it. I appreciate the school’s commitment to finding a new home for the Little Room, and of course, my office will continue to monitor the situation.” |
