BP MARKOWITZ WELCOMES NASA ASTRONAUT GARRETT REISMAN TO BOROUGH HALL

On Monday, August 25, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz welcomed NASA Astronaut Garrett Reisman to Borough Hall, presenting him with a Brooklyn T-shirt and discussing Reisman’s recent three-month mission aboard the International Space Station. Reisman, a New Jersey native, is the first Jewish astronaut to serve on the Space Station, and he frequently travels from his home in the Houston area to visit relatives in Brooklyn.
