On Friday, April 18, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and Out2Play Executive Director Andrea Wenner donned “playground hats” and unveiled renderings of a new playground on property shared by the Brooklyn New School (P.S. 146) and Brooklyn School for Collaborative Studies (M.S. 448). Also attending were students from the two schools, many of whom helped design the playground.

The new play area, the result of a unique partnership between Out2Play and the Brooklyn Borough President’s Office, will replace the barren, asphalt lot that has served as the schools’ only outdoor play space. The partnership is also bringing two new playgrounds to P.S. 191 and P.S. 93 in Brooklyn.
