On April 6, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz joined Jonathan Butler and Eric Demby in launching Brooklyn Flea at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School in Fort Greene. Founded by the creative minds behind the Brownstoner blog, The Flea will be open every Sunday and feature vendors of vintage furniture, clothing and antiques alongside new designs by local makers of everything from jewelry to textiles.
