BP MARKOWITZ TO DISTRIBUTE HUNDREDS OF TOYS, A THOUSAND HATS AND SCARVES TO BROOKLYN TOTS

On Thursday, December 20, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will turn the Rotunda of Brooklyn Borough Hall into a festive toy store when he hands out a thousand donated scarves and hats as well as hundreds of new toys collected during the annual Borough Hall toy drive.
BP Markowitz will be joined by Barbara Cohn, Executive Deputy Commissioner for the New York City Department of Homeless Services, to help distribute the hats and scarves to young children.
More that two dozen service organizations, including churches, youth groups, and women’s shelters, will receive an amazing selection of new toys donated by scores of individuals and corporate sponsors.
