On Tuesday, December 4, in observance of Chanukah, the Jewish festival of lights, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz joined Rabbi Aaron L. Raskin in lighting the Rabbi Jacob J. Hecht Menorah in Borough Hall Plaza.

Musical performances were provided by the Tmimim Boys Choir and Shir Chadash: The Brooklyn Jewish Community Chorus. Celebrants were also treated to Chanukah gelt, latkes and other traditional fare, and holiday gifts were distributed to children attending the festivities.
