BROOKLYN’S LARGEST MENORAH

Special performance by cast members of the off-Broadway revue “That Time of Year.”

5:00 P.M.
MONDAY, DECEMBER 18
BROOKLYN BOROUGH HALL PLAZA
OUTSIDE OF BROOKLYN SUPREME COURT
DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN

On Monday, December 18, in celebration of Chanukah, the Jewish festival of lights, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will rise to the occasion, with the help of a cherry picker, and light Brooklyn’s largest menorah the 25-foot-tall Rabbi Jacob J. Hecht Menorah. The lighting ceremony will be led by Rabbi Aaron L. Raskin of Congregation B'nai Avraham in Brooklyn Heights.

Families will also enjoy a special selection of Chanukah songs performed by cast members of the off-Broadway holiday musical revue “That Time of Year,” as well as a performance by vocalist Avi Lifshitz. After the ceremony to further brighten the evening’s festivities revelers will be treated to latkes and refreshments.

The menorah lighting event is a joint program of the Borough President’s Office, Congregation B’nai Avraham, and Chabad of Brooklyn Heights.

For more information, the public can call Congregation B’nai Avraham at 718-596-4840 ext. 15.
