BROOKLYN Borough Hall SERVES AS REST STOP FOR COMMUTERS

Free cup of coffee, tea and bathroom breaks for cyclists and walkers

7:30 A.M. – 8:00 P.M.
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 20
BROOKLYN BOROUGH HALL
209 JORALEMON STREET
BETWEEN COURT & ADAMS STREETS
DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN

On December 20, thousands of Brooklynites are expected to walk or cycle over the Brooklyn Bridge to get home because of the strike. Brooklyn Borough Hall will be open from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to those who need a break, a bathroom, or a hot cup of tea or coffee.

“Despite the strike, Brooklyn residents are doing their best to help each other and go about their business,” said Borough President Marty Markowitz. “Most of those who walk or cycle over the Brooklyn Bridge to get home will go right by Brooklyn’s City Hall, so I want to do anything I possibly can to make their commute a little more comfortable.  After all, Borough Hall belongs to all Brooklynites.  It’s only right that we open our doors as wide as we can in challenging times.”
