Borough President donates toys and games to groups helping Brooklyn’s children

1:00 P.M.
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 15
BROOKLYN BOROUGH HALL
209 JORALEMON STREET
BETWEEN COURT & ADAMS STREETS
DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN

Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will be distributing thousands of toys to over 40 groups including Boys & Girls clubs, church groups, fathering initiatives, shelters and youth programs. These groups will then give the toys to children in need throughout Brooklyn.

The toys were graciously donated by everyday Brooklynites through the Borough President’s annual Toy Drive and by the Brooklyn Navy Yard and the Fulton Mall Association. Toy drive sponsors and helpers include: A.R.T./South Oxford Space, BAM LDC, BRIC/BCAT, Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, Brooklyn Hospital Center, Brooklyn Public Library, Bruno Trucking, Citibank, Eamonn’s, Flatbush Federal Savings & Loan, Green-Wood Cemetery, J.P. Morgan Chase, Long Island College Hospital, Lutheran Hospital, Maimonides Medical Center, North Fork Bank, Ponce De Leon Bank, St. Joseph's College, SUNY Downstate University Council, and Volunteers of America.
