BOROUGH PRESIDENT DENOUNCES ANTI-SEMITIC ATTACKS
ON JEWISH INSTITUTIONS IN BROOKLYN

“I’m confident that the Police Department will apprehend the deranged group or individual responsible for these hateful acts,” said Borough President Markowitz. “Once the perpetrator(s) are caught, they should be given an appropriate punishment and counseling. I also must stress that these horrendous incidents do not reflect the Brooklyn attitude – the respect and dignity that we show each other every day. One of Brooklyn’s greatest strengths is our religious and ethnic diversity, which make our borough a model for tolerance and understanding. We recognize in Brooklyn that we are all children of one
G-d.”
