BROOKLYN BOROUGH PRESIDENT MARTY MARKOWITZ’S STATEMENT ON THE NEW HOUSING FUNDS FROM THE ENTERPRISE FOUNDATION

“I’m thrilled that the Enterprise Foundation has again stepped up to the plate and offered their commitment to helping solve New York City’s affordable housing crisis. With nearly 1/3 of all New Yorkers living in Brooklyn, many of whom are struggling to make ends meet, I know that the Foundation and Mayor Bloomberg will recognize the tremendous need for affordable housing in Brooklyn. I have been working my entire life to ensure that there is a home in Brooklyn for everyone who loves to live here as much as I do, and I’m confident these funds will bring us one step closer to the goal of providing affordable housing for all Brooklynites.”
