On Wednesday, December 1, Deputy Brooklyn Borough President Yvonne Graham joined Developer Bruce Ratner, MetroTech Business Improvement District (BID) President Victoria Aviles, MetroTech BID Executive Director Michael Weiss, House of the Lord Church Pastor Reverend Herbert Daughtry, Community Board 2 Chairperson Shirley Ann McRae, and Assemblyperson Clarence Norman and others on the MetroTech Commons in Downtown Brooklyn for the 14th Annual MetroTech Tree Lighting Ceremony.

“The winter holidays are a time of family, miracles, serenity and delight,” said Deputy Borough President Graham. “It is the perfect time for us to join together to celebrate our joy, and reaffirm our commitment to fostering peace and unity at home in Brooklyn and around the world. I wish you all health and happiness this holiday season, and in the coming new year.”

The tree lighting ceremony included a riveting performance by 9-year-old singer Alessandra Guercio, the fanfare of The Brass Menagerie, and the cheerful caroling of the All City High School Chorus.
