BOROUGH PRESIDENT MARTY MARKOWITZ URGES EXTRA VIGILANCE TO FIGHT BIAS CRIMES

“Once again cowardly vandals have struck in the night, targeting cars in Borough Park over the weekend. Brooklyn stands united in condemning this gutless attack. Tonight I am meeting with the Presidents of Brooklyn’s Precinct Community Councils to discuss how the community can come together and assist our Police Department in stopping these and other senseless crimes. As was echoed by virtually everyone at our recent town hall meeting on bias crimes, we must strive to better educate our children -- and each other -- to approach everyone with respect and decency. Especially as we enter the holiday season, I urge all people of good will to stand together and condemn this hatred.”
