On Monday, December 22nd, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will light the Rabbi Jacob J. Hecht Menorah, the largest menorah in Downtown Brooklyn.
The ceremony, which marks the inauguration of Brooklyn's official menorah, will be led by Rabbi Aaron L. Raskin, and will include a performance by the Lubavitch Yeshivah of Ocean Parkway children's choir, as well as kosher refreshments.
This event is a collaboration between the borough president, Congregation B’nai Avraham and the Chabad of Brooklyn Heights.
