BP HELPS CELEBRATE YOUNG BROOKLYN ARTISTS WHOSE WORK WILL BE ON DISPLAY AT THIS YEAR'S NEW YORK CITY MARATHON

Borough President Marty Markwoitz honored two Brooklyn schools, PS 282 in Park Slope and PS 94 in Sunset Park, for participating in the sixth annual JPMorgan Chase New York City Marathon Banner Program. The schools created beautiful banners that illustrate what they love about most about Brooklyn. These works of art will be hung along the racecourse in Brooklyn.

“These beautiful banners created by some very talented Brooklynites help to illustrate what an incredible borough Brooklyn is! I know they’ll be quite an inspiration to the thousands of runners that will see them this Sunday,” the Borough President said.
