BOROUGH PRESIDENT HONORS SESAME FLYERS INTERNATIONAL AT BOROUGH HALL RECEPTION
On October 31st, Borough President Marty Markowitz honored Sesame Flyers
International for being named the best band of the year for the fourth
consecutive year at the West Indian American Carnival Day Association
Labor Day Parade. The group’s children’s band also won first
place in the competition. Some of Sesame Flyers International’s
sensational costumes that were worn during the parade were on display
at Borough Hall last month.
“I am so glad your beautiful costumes were on display here at Borough
Hall, and I am sure you are already hard at work preparing for next year’s
parade. All of Sesame Flyers’ hard work in the community helps make
Brooklyn the greatest place to live in the entire world!” said the
Borough President.
Sesame Flyers International’s motto is “Love a Kid Today
and Every Day,” and it has been doing that for 20 years in Brooklyn.
