STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT AWARD CEREMONY

As another school year draws to a close, it is time once again to recognize those students who have brought special honor to themselves, their schools and families, and by extension the entire borough of Brooklyn.

Best of Brooklyn STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS at Borough Hall

This event will take place on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at 6:00 PM and will be held at Brooklyn Borough Hall, located at 209 Joralemon Street, in Downtown Brooklyn.  Eligible students include individual students, groups, or teams that have attained borough wide, citywide, statewide, or national recognition. (School and district awards do not qualify.)  Categories may include but are not limited to: a winner of an academic competition, a school band or choral group, an artist or poet, an athletic, chess, or debate team.

If any of your students meet the above criteria, please complete the attached form no later than Friday, May 16, 2008. Please advise students to save the date and time of our event.

Thank you for helping me pay tribute to Brooklyn’s outstanding youth, our leaders of tomorrow!
