As the earth soaks in puddles
All is dark and chilly
I look out my window and see…..
Truth being dug for
Deep under the soil
And wrenched to the top, though jerkily
As a heavy water bucket
In a well
For as soon as the worm feels the sunlight
As soon as the water hits air
There can be no pushing it
Back down.
Not without a struggle
So to trust your instinct is to trust the world.
