"To Those Who Mourn"
by Alneta Knowles

Dry your eyes precious ones
Look beyond your pain
Smoke and sadness fill the air
As they search for us in vain.
Knowing that we won’t be back,
We’ve crossed the Great Divide,
And now we’re in a better place,
Let you tears subside.

We didn’t know what happened
We all heard a roaring sound
The buildings started shaking
There was panic all around.
We had no time to think or pray
Just running all about
It all collapsed around us
And we couldn’t make it out.

We hope that you find comfort
And make good of every day
Don’t look back, we’re not there,
In memory we must stay
There’s reasons we don’t understand
And some we’ll never know
In sorrow, don’t question God,
It was our appointed time to go.

We send our thanks to all of those
Who gave all they could give
Donations, blood, helping hands
And prayers that we would live.
They sacrificed their precious time
When chances looked so slim
But God sifted thru the rubble,
And took us Home with Him.

Good Bye,
The Victims Of
