A Return from Iraq

Home from Faluja, Baghdad, Sadyr City, Mossel, Anbar

Province, places on a map bound for Dover Air Force Base

in Delaware, C 130 transport 12 hour non-stop landing after

midnight with my lovely wife and 3 sons waiting, a reunion

long delayed memories of that small southern town, high

school graduation, marriage, kids, a job pumping gas as the

cargo door of the plane opens and my flag-draped coffin is

gently lowered onto the tarmac.
